   WHO AM I

"Measuring programming progress by lines of code is like measuring aircraft building progress by weight." - Bill Gates

"Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler." - Einstein

I grew up in Whakatane, a small town in New Zealand.  I had always been interested in computers and enjoyed tinkering with them.  I taught myself QBasic by trying to replicate the starfield screensaver in Windows.  Although I enjoyed learning things by myself I found out that having a formal education is an important step in getting a proper job.  So I studied a Bachelor of Information Sciences at Massey University in Palmerston North, there I found the programming assignments and exams quite easy, however a bit fustrating that the software developed would never go to good use.

My first professional job was for Koorb Consulting in Auckland.  There was a great team that worked well together and I was able to learn all about Dynamics AX.

Since then I have moved to Melbourne, Australia to take on various contract roles.
